Netflix Favourites: July
Hello internet,
It's that time again on my blog where I write down some of my faves from Netflix. I cancelled my subscription for exam season and then as soon as it was over, account activated!!!
Anyway, here are some of my top picks...
Mad Men - Starring the babe that is Jon Hamm. A pretty popular show that is set in New York 1960's. Basically, a load of competitive men in the business industry cheating on their wives, doing sales pitches and going for fancy dinners. Good watch though, multiple plots happening at once with the different characters.
The Wedding Ringer - Another rom-com but I enjoyed it. This guy has no friends so has to hire a guy to be his best man, kind of sad plot but a good ending and funny film.
Boy Eats Girl - An oldish film, nothing fancy but I really liked it. Set in a small town in Ireland a teen boy falls in love with a girl but the problem is he is a zombie. Basically, a zombie outbreak happens, not quite the apocalypse though. However, in true romantic teen film style, all is good and there's a happy ending.
Pride And Prejudice And Zombies - Love this film, it livened up (irony) a classic story and gave it a twist. Mr. Darcy is a babe and it's a good film with an open ending, which could possibly annoy you.
Lolita - An oldie but classic, I've heard the name 'Lolita' referenced in songs and shows but had no idea what it was about, so watched the film adaptation of the book and now I know. A questionable plot, reasonable film.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt - Watched season 1 and 2 then when the third came out got a bit bored. Decided to give it another go and what do you know, a couple of days later season three is finished. Still funny, still lighthearted.
Friends From College - A funny sitcom type show about, you guessed it, friends from college.
Jurassic World - Watched the original years ago and decided to watch this one with a friend. Suprised how much I enjoyed it, but I did. Loads of action and a sprinkle of love.
Wet Hot American Summer - Watched an episode a couple of years ago didn't think much of it, then it popped up on my suggestions and gave it a watch. It's funny and a parody, so not one to take too seriously.
That's all for now,
keep it peachy,
L xo
