Netflix Favourites: May
iZombie - this show came back for its third season recently. I was a bit unsure at how good it was going to be, but WAS I WRONG! This season so far has introduced more twists into the story that has kept me watching each week. It's zombies in a fairly unscary way, zombies with very human problems.
Gilmore Girls - a classic show which has been around for a looooong time (since 2000 to be exact), I'd sporadically been watching episodes on TV but decided to commit to the series once and for all when I saw it was on Netflix. My approach was to watch the Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life beforehand and then watch Season 1 - 7, an unlogical approach I know but I needed clarity before I watched the series, I had to know where Lorelai and Luke going to be together? Was Rory with Logan or Jess, is she still in journalism? etc. etc.
Girlboss - series based on the launch of NastyGal the vintage clothing website/shop. Funny, easy watching show.
Pretty Little Liars - I was convinced that I wasn't going to enjoy this show and that it got to much hype but that was a few months ago and now I have watched all seasons and am on the edge of my seat watching season 9, WHO IS A??? I can't stop watching now, I'm invested and need to know. Is it unrealistic? YES. But is it entertaining, dramatic and jam-packed with plot twists YES IT IS, and that is why I will watch it until the end.
Louis Theroux - I'm a fan of documentaries and what better way to find 'stuff' out than through THE documentary man himself, Louis Theroux. I haven't mentioned one specific documentary of his because there is quite a selection on Netflix and elsewhere, so go forth and learn stuff!!
Life Unexpected - this show is kind of old, with being released in 2010. It ran for two seasons and I'd never heard anything about it until I watched it on Netflix. However, this show is pretty good, its got a reasonable amount of drama, a touch of comedy, and of course a love triangle. The finale of the show was wholesome, all the couples you shipped, all lived happily ever after, classic ending.
